Fixing the Joystick on the Sony Ericsson 750

Sony Ericsson K750i replaced the Sony Ericsson K700i and was a big improvement (when the joystick is working), with a 2-megapixel digital camera with autofocus, video camera, digital music player, FM radio, Bluetooth, memory stick, triband. It's built on a dependable platform - the SE K series - and is a very easy phone to use, with a joystick, menu shortcuts and camera button to aid navigation. It's a good-looking, well-built phone that's a good size, however any user who has had this phone for a few years will know that the joystick is prone to failure. If your phone has failed before you throw it away try to revive it. Firstly try cleaning the joystick well from the front. Blow out any detritus that you can from the well, and then move the stick around. If that doesn't work slide the battery cover back, take the battery out, & use a tiny cross head screw driver to undo the screws retaining the front cover. Once you have access to the back of the front face of the phone you can blow the rear of the joystick clear of any dust which maybe causing your problem. Reassemble, and most likely you will have fixed your joystick problem. |
